Program Overview
The goal of the Wisconsin Stingrays Softball program is to provide players with the best coaching, facilities and opportunities available to improve their game and help advance their careers at the next level. All players playing for the Stingrays will be entering a program utilizing paid coaches with extensive experience. In addition, players will have full use of GRB Academy as membership is included in player team fees.
Winter Training
Winter Training will be the life-blood of the Stingrays Softball program. Every team within the organization participates in the Winter Training program. Winter Training is designed to advance players and instill the correct skill-sets, swing mechanics, speed, strength and motions to become highly developed softball players. Stingrays team practices are up tempo and progress from high-level individual instructions to more team-oriented instruction as the tournament season approaches.
Winter Training for the Stingrays runs from the second week in November through March.
Stingrays players will also have mid-week hitting and pitching groups that run October through February.
Coaches
The Stringrays try to limit parent involvement within the organization as much as possible. Teams will have paid head coaches and all coaches will have a minimum of collegiate playing experience and high school and/or college coaching experience.
